Perfect example of what we've been discussing. Leadership in and Control over the Pillars of Power = critical.

"MP Materials Announces Transformational Public-Private Partnership with the Department of Defense to Accelerate U.S. Rare Earth Magnet Independence" (https://shorturl.at/XPwnN)

The US Government recent deal with MP Materials is an exemplification of this.

China has a current stranglehold on rare earths/magnets (and related processing). This is a serious bottleneck for the US and all of its critical supply chains -- from Technology to Energy. A key dependency, or chokepoint.

To rectify that, the US Government is providing Money to MP Materials to accelerate Critical Product Production and remove that Chinese dependency..

We touch on this in detail in these pieces, notably directly in the Tariffs piece (rare earth minerals/magnets = Critical Product):

A bit under the radar, but a huge development at the recent NATO conference:

'Allies made a commitment to investing 5% (up from 2%) of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) annually on core defence'

This is a key component of the Trump Agenda: deterrence through strength

The ultimate deterrent is asymmetric Technology

Which is where these budgets are likely to focus -- from drones to AI to Space

Although perceived as unconventional (e.g., JD Vance speech in Germany), the Trump admin has been quite effective at executing their agenda
